Presentation
Does the paper present a coherent argument? Are the ideas communicated clearly?
Writing
Does the title accurately reflect the manuscript? Is the writing concise and easy to understand?
Length
Which parts of the paper should be expanded, removed, condensed, summarized, or combined?
Title
Is the title concise, omitting implicit terms and, where possible, formulated as a statement of the main result or conclusion of the manuscript? Are abbreviations avoided in the title?
Abstract
Does the abstract include: (1) the aim of the study; (2) the method; (3) the results or findings; and (4) the conclusion?
Introduction
Clearly describes the following:
The background of the study;
The state of the art and relevant research to justify the manuscript’s novelty;
Gap analysis and novelty statement;
Hypothesis or problem statement (optional);
The approach to addressing the problem; and
The aim of the study.
Method
Written clearly so that other researchers can replicate the study and achieve the same results;
Goes beyond defining terms by explaining how the research was conducted;
Describes the location, participants, research instruments, and data analysis.
Results and Discussion
Data are processed (not raw) and presented in tables or figures, accompanied by clear, supportive explanations.
Results correspond to the original research questions or objectives outlined in the Introduction.
The author explains whether the findings align with or differ from those of other studies.
Each result or finding is interpreted scientifically.
The implications of the research are described.
The limitations of the study or shortcomings of the methods are acknowledged.
Suggestions for future research or expansion of ideas are provided.
Conclusion
Includes:
Answers to the research objectives;
Implications or recommendations (optional);
Written in a paragraph form, not as a list.
